Just in: Hon Jerry Uzosike Emerges Winner of PDP Primary Election in Umuahia South Constituency

The chairman PDP primary election committee for Umuahia South state constituency, Prince Ezekwesiri Ananaba has declared Hon Jerry Uzosike winner of the primary election.
The exercise which was held under tight security and presence of INEC officials was done through PDP three man delegates lists.


Prince Ananaba from Ugwunagbo LGA, who announced the result said Uzosike secured twenty two votes, Engineer Godswill Ubani pulled eight votes, while barrister Oleka Maduakolam did not secure any vote.
Reacting to the result, the member representing Umuahia South state constituency, Hon Jerry Uzosike congratulated his fellow contestants, thanked the PDP primary election committee, INEC officials for their good conduct and promised to do better if  elected again at the secondary election.
Jerry who went emotional while interacting with newsmen, said whatever that made Umuahia South people to nominate him, promised not to disappoint his people.
He extended olive branch to his fellow contestants and urged them to join hands with him to secure the victory of the party in the main election. Hon Jerry was sorounded by his supporters chanting his campaign solidarity song Ogechi Kam MMA (God’s time is the best)
The chairman of Umuahia South, Humphrey Chukwudi Benson described the exercise as peaceful and appreciated all relevant stakeholders who contributed to the success of the election. He solicited the support of other contestants to secure victory for PDP come 2023 general elections.
Meanwhile, in the spirit of sportsmanship, Engr Godswill Ubani before the election had told some stakeholders that he will host PDP members not minding who would emerge winner.
Secretary to Abia State government, Barrister Chris Ezem was among the prominent stakeholders present during the election.
