As Muslims celebrate this year’s Eid-El Maulud, the birth of Prophet Mohammed, the co-chair interfaith dialogue forum for peace, Bishop Sunday Onuoha has called for prayers for God to intervene in the affairs of Nigeria.
Bishop Onuoha in his message congratulated Muslims for witnessing another Eid-El Maulud and harped on the need to sustain peace among the people of Nigeria irrespective of their religious and ethnicity.
According to him, Muslims and indeed Nigerians should take advantage of the period to seek for God’s helping hands to tackle all kinds of problems in the country.
On the other hand, the traditional head of Moslem community in Abia State, Alhaji Yaro Danlandi is urging Moslems to emulate the peaceful virtues of Prophet Mohammed as they celebrate 2021 EID-EL Maulud.
Danlandi who was speaking with newsmen in Umuahia, including National Watch described Prophet Mohammed as a messenger of God who believed in peace, unity and love. He added that peace and love should reign supreme in every life, which he affirmed that peace has helped Muslims in Abia State to live in peace with their host communities.
Also speaking, a Muslim stakeholder in Nigeria, Barrister Suileman Ukandu noted that Prophet Mohammed during his days was a man of peace, as well championed that Muslims relationship with non-Moslems should be cordial inline with the tenants of Islam.
He charged Muslims to learn the ability to dispense justice, stressing that all Nigerians deserve justice, equity and fairness which Ukandu insisted is the panecea for more united that.
