Ubani Traders, Road Users Call on FG to Rehabilitate Uzuakoli-Akara Federal Road

An appeal has gone to the members of the National Assembly and the Federal Government to embark on immediate palliative road rehabilitation on the Umuahia-Uzuakoli-Akara road to reduce the hardship encountered by the road users.
Some traders of the Ubani Market- Mr. Emezie Irolewe, Mrs. Alozie Ifeanyi, Mrs. Uzochukwu Serah and several others who lamented on the poor condition of the road, expressed bitterness on the deplorable condition of the road, stressing that their customers from Umuahia axis no longer find it easy to transact businesses with them which has led to heavy loss on business. 
This according to them have also led to their cars developing mechanical faults and body damage due to deep pot-holes along the road  and pleaded with the government to come to their rescue by rehabilitating the road.
In their speeches, the State Co-ordinator of the National Forum for Grassroots Politicians, Pastor Okechukwu Dike and some residents of Uzuakoli town- Mr. Elesie Columbus and Elder Chilasa Kanu who is also the Vice President General- Uzuakoli Development Association, commended  the State Governor- Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu on his giant strides on durable road construction especially in Aba and appealed for an extension to the Umuahia-Uzuakoli-Akara road as a measure to enhance the communication links of the people.
