Otti is Poised to give Abians Better Health Services~Dr Betty & Ekeoma

The Acting Chief Medical Director of Abia state Specialist Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, Dr Agu Francis and Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties to Governor Alex Otti, Dr Mrs Betty Emeka Obasi said the rehabilitation going on at the diagnostic centre will not escalate their charges.

Dr Agu and Dr Betty stated this on Friday when answering questions from journalists who visited to ascertain the extent of work done in the facility.

The journalists were led on the tour by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Mr Ferdinand Ekeoma. The team also visited the General Hospital Amachara and the commissioner’s quarters which are all undergoing serious reconstruction.

According to them, the Governor decided to make the hospital a world class to give Abians the best and assured Abians that they will give better service with all the new equipment that can facilitate eye surgeries in a day.

Dr Betty promised that there is no eye condition that will not be treated in the specialist hospital.

She added that the Governor directed that he wants a world class eye center where every kind of eye disease both emergencies will be treated at the most affordable cost and the most conducive environment.

Dr Betty appluaded the determination of Governor Otti towards keeping to his campaign promises and urged Abians to take advantage of the upgrade going on in almost all the government health facilities, and also appreciated the Special Adviser on Media and publicity, Ferdinand Ekeoma for being proactive.

Earlier, Ekeoma said the health facilities across the three senatorial districts in the state would receive total rehabilitation with modern equipment to serve Abians better than what the hospitals used to be.
