We Have Better Future for Everyone; Abia PDP Assures Members

The people’s democratic party PDP has reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to the unity, progress, and overall good of the Party in Abia State.

The party’s decision was contained in a communique signed and issued by the state chairman, Elder Abraham Amah, Rt. Hon Uko Nkole, Former member House of Representatives, the host Hon. Mandela Obasi, Member Abia House of Aassembly, Hon Emmanuel Ndubuisi, Member Abia House of Assembly, Chief Barrister Okechukwu Osuala, Deputy National Legal Adviser PDP, Chief Barrister Ukpai Ukairo South East Legal Adviser PDP among others after their meeting held in Ohafia local government area.

The communique read by Uko Nkole said that the stakeholders are categorically commited themselves to working assiduously towards ensuring that the PDP reclaims the Abia State Government House come 2027.

They further expressed their unflinching support for the leadership of the State Chairman of PDP, and commend the efforts of the State Working Committee in repositioning and rebuilding the party across all levels and stand solidly behind Elder Abraham Amah in his bold and strategic leadership of the party and pledge their total loyalty and cooperation to his administration.

The party stakeholders called on all party members and leaders across the Abia North zone to close ranks, eschew all divisive tendencies, and work together in the spirit of brotherhood and unity for the progress of their great party and encouraged greater participation of youths and women in party activities, in line with their belief in inclusive leadership and generational synergy.

The stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia North Senatorial Zone held a crucial meeting today, Sunday 20th April 2025, at the country home of Rt. Hon. Mandela, Member representing Ohafia North State Constituency at the Abia State House of Assembly.

After extensive deliberations on the state of the party, its prospects, and the way forward, the following resolutions were unanimously adopted:
1. That we reaffirm our unwavering commitment to the unity, progress, and overall good of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State.
2. That we categorically commit ourselves to working assiduously towards ensuring that the PDP reclaims the Abia State Government House come 2027.
3. That we express our unflinching support for the leadership of our illustrious son, Elder Abraham Amah, the State Chairman of PDP, and commend the efforts of the State Working Committee in repositioning and rebuilding the party across all levels.
4. That we stand solidly behind Elder Abraham Amah in his bold and strategic leadership of the party and pledge our total loyalty and cooperation to his administration.
5. That we pass a vote of confidence on the PDP Local Government Area Chairmen of Arochukwu, Ohafia, Bende, Isuikwuato, and Umunneochi for their dedication, grassroots mobilization, and commitment to the ideals of the party.
6. That we call on all party members and leaders across the Abia North zone to close ranks, eschew all divisive tendencies, and work together in the spirit of brotherhood and unity for the progress of our great party.
7. That we encourage greater participation of youths and women in party activities, in line with our belief in inclusive leadership and generational synergy.
8. That we commend the PDP caucus in the Abia State House of Assembly and urge them to continue playing their oversight role diligently while remaining true ambassadors of the party.
9. That we are fully ready to engage with the grassroots, consolidate on existing party structures, and begin early mobilization ahead of the 2027 general elections.
10. That we shall set up local strategy and reconciliation committees within the Abia North zone to harmonize interests, resolve lingering issues, and ensure a united front moving forward.

The meeting ended on a note of renewed hope, solidarity, and purposeful determination to restore PDP’s political dominance in Abia North and the state at large.
