A House of Assembly aspirant for Abia Central State Constituency under the All Progressive Congress, APC, Barrister Anthony Chinasa Abiola has withdraw his ambition from the party.
Barrister Anthony who hails from Enyiukwu Ibeku in Umuahia North LGA of Abia State, while interacting with newsmen in Umuahia, said he withdrew from the race citing lack of internal democracy and lack of equal rights in the party.
He also cited that imposition of candidates against the constitution of APC is another reason of his withdrawal.
According to him, an individual in the party feels that he owns APC in Abia and has monopolized the activities of the party.
Barrister, who described APC is a great party where people had equal rights before, but now, things are not longer the same. He also revealed that till this night 25th May, 2022, he has knowledge of whom the delegates are.
Anthony therefore, told his supporters to remain resolute, adding that he is not angry at any person nor the party, but displeased with the situation in the party.
