The newly commissioner for environment in Abia State, Barrister Sam Nwogu has charged state environmental sweepers to join the taskforce to enforce indiscriminate dumping of refuse.
According to Sam Nwogu, the state government has designed better method to curtail the spread of diseases by warning Abians to bag their refuse, keep their environments clean, motor parks, tricycle operators and the general public.
On his part earlier, the state commissioner for information, Eze Chikamnayo told Abia street sweepers that it is the job of Abians to help them keep the environment clean.
