NOA Partners Inspire Hope Foundation on Free Medical Outreach

Abia State Director of National Orientation Agency, NOA, Dr Mrs Ngozi Okechukwu has said the agency will continue to partner both international and reputable institutions to ensure batter healthcare for the citizens.
Dr Okechukwu stated this during a one day sensitization medical sensitization campaign, Health Talks on Diabetes, High hypertension HB, Asthma Medical Outreach for Abia State Men, Women and Children organised by Inspire Hope Foundation in collaboration with National Orientation Agency, NOA in Umuahia.
Lady Okechukwu said she is bothered about the poor life expectancy in Nigeria, adding that Nigerian health authorities reported that life expectancy at birth in Nigeria is among the lowest in Africa, as well as in the World with influenza and pneumonia leading cause of death. 
According to her, research indicated that In 2021, life expectancy at birth in Nigeria was about 60 to 87 years and further explained that specifically, this figure equaled to 59 years for males and 63 years for females. 
She emphasized that the situation is unacceptable and all concerned critical stakeholders must synergies to reduce the indices.
Her words” Adam lived 800 years after he fathered Seth and in Gen 6:3 we understand that the spirit of God abiding in us can make us live even up to 120 years”
“I therefore feel proud to be a part of what is happening in Abia State today. A collaboration between INSPIRE HOPE FOUNDATION and NATIONAL ORIENTATION AGENCY (NOA), ABIA STATE is very apt. It is a one day medical sensitization campaign, health talks on Diabetes, hypension, Asthma, Medical outreach for Abia state men, women and children. We are hopeful that at the end of today’s health education we will learn a lot on how to fight diseases, build confidence, improve brain health, reduce stress, optimize performance. the good news: a healthy lifestyle can help you feel better”.
The NOA sirected added that the National Orientation Agency (NOA) is the powerhouse of Government that drives attitudinal change, which in turn is the foundation for national change. She also told the CEO of inspired hope, Dr Chinyere Anyaogu that the Agency is endowed with great potential that can be fully exploited by government, NGOs, Multilateral and Civil Society Organizations to meet the socio- political challenges of development and bring about the desired change in Nigeria. 
She continued “the Agency has  elaborate grassroots, structure and national footprint which provides an extensive reach to majority of Nigerians; it has a robust platform for synergy, and mechanism for expanding the political space for citizens Engagement.
One area we frequently collaborate is on health. NOA has carried our effective health campaigns on COVID 19, Ebola, Polio, Malaria etc. NOA has strong partnerships with UNICEF, WHO and many other global health organizations that empower women and children”.
The CEO of Inspired Hope Foundation and President Elect, Association of Nigerian Physicians in America (ANPA)  Dr Chinyere  Anyaogu said her team came to Nigeria to assist close the gap in the health sector by providing free health services to people who are having hypension, diabetes, Asthma and other medical services.
Dr Anyaogu and her team had visited the children specialist hospital built by Abia State Government at Bende road Umuahia, where she inspected the facility, the equipment and commended Abia state government for putting the health of the vulnerable at heart.
She called on Abians to make good use of the hospital.
Meanwhile, the free medical outreach at the NOA premises featured examination on blood sugar, hypension and teachings on both diabetes, HB, distribution of drugs and other free medical services.
